'I believe that anyone who has the overflowing life of Christ in them is enthusiastic and really enjoys life! And when we enjoy life, it shows--it moves out with a powerful energy that those around us can feel. It is attractive and winsome. We get a lift when we're around people that enjoy life; we're influenced by them. They make a difference in our lives.' Quote from THE HOME STRETCH 1986 by Dale Evans Rogers
Dale planned her own memorial service and in the program she left this message;
"Be happy for me! I am now with my beloved Roy."
Dale Evans Rogers
'I guess Dale and I know pretty well, like her song says, that "some trails are happy ones and others are blue" and we also know that when we have to part, it will be only " 'til we meet again." And that time, our happy trails will be for all eternity.' Roy Rogers in Happy Trails: Our Life Story 1994 Simon and Schuster This book will not be reproduced.
There really is a Happy Trails Highway. It's a beautiful drive along the Dry Lake Bed between Apple Valley & Lucerne Valley, CA. on the former HWY 18. Revelation 6:2-8 New International Version (NIV)
'I looked, and there before me was a white horse! Its rider held a bow, and he was given a crown, and he rode out as a conqueror bent on conquest.'
The Happy Trails Children's Foundation Presented, "The 9th Annual Western Film Festival," President's Day weekend February 18 & 19, 2006 at the historic Apple Valley INN 20601 Highway 18 / Happy Trails Highway Apple Valley, CA with a Celebration February 20, 2006 at The Roy Rogers Ranch in Oro Grande, CA. Roy and Dale never lived at the Oro Grande Ranch which they owned. They visited it and Roy kept some horses there.
