Happy Trails, Painted Pony

Yes, we all LOVE to feed our pets Treats
but it is NOT always healthy for them to gain weight. We have to monitor this so they maintain the correct weight.

Keep a close eye on treats while they're
baking as they burn easily.

I do NOT recommend giving cheese to our dogs.
Ask your Vet before trying any cheese recipe for your pet.
Thanks, Painted Pony

HORSES

Bran Mash
NOTE:
This is only to be given to a horse ONCE a week and not to be fed daily. It's wise to feed this mash at least 2 hours before OR after their normal feeding routine.

Serving for one horse given once weekly.
7 to 10 Cups dry bran
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup molasses
4 cups water (adjust amount)
1/2 cup vitamins and/or salt if desired
Optional:
chopped carrots or apples

Mix all ingredients in a deep bucket or large feeding tub. Mix just enough water to get the right consistency and it's easy to stir. I prefer to use warm water in the colder months to warm the horse up. It's good for a stoved up horse or a horse with colic.
IF this doesn't help regulate the horse
CALL your Vet.
