We were & still are fans of Roy & Dale, but never got to meet them. We have made it across the big pond the last 9 years & meet up with Dusty & family at Branson, we have made friends with Dodi & John, all wondreful persons. In 2009 we made it to the last round up at the museum & we were at the museum the last week of it being open, we were one of the last to walk out on the last day, it was very emotional time. We give thanks for all the good memories that we have.

My husband and I are big Roy and Dale fans! we promote them in our hometown whenever possible. they were such good christian people and great humanitarians. Look how many children and adults were helped by Angel Unaware. Dale writes Robin's story as Robin reports to God about her two year mission here on earth. "Down there" as Robin said.

This a fitting tribute to Roy and Dale. Thank you for taking the time to put this all together. It was a big event in my life to visit the Roy Rogers Museum in Victorville and the ranch where Roy and Dale lived most of their lives before moving to Apple Valley.

When I was a child actress, I rode in the Hollywood Santa Claus parade sandwiched in between Roy Rogers & Dale Evans and behind me was Hopalong Cassidy. I never got any of the photos, and it was the thrill of my life. Before that, I went to see their movies every saturday afternoon.I'm a true fan of Roy & Dale Rogers. Daria Massey

Roy and Dale Rogers has been a part of my life since I was a kid. Satruday was the best day of the week because they were on and after they went off all the kids in our neighborhood was Roy, Dale, Gabby, "Trigger" Buttermilk, Bullet and to this day I call MY car Nellebelle! Thank you good hearted country folks for giving me the wonderful memories I carry in my heart today. I know you are all up in heaven on your beloved horses riding the Happy Trails and keeping an eye on all of us left here. I tip my hat and touch my heart to you. Keep on smilin and Happy Trails are ahead! Evelyn "Shorty"

I remember going to the Apple Valley Inn when we lived in Barstow and Roy and Dale visiting our table while we were eating dinner. I also remember them saying how well behaved we all were and them buying us dinner a few times. (I have 1 brother and 3 sisters)I still have several autographed photos, menus, and napkins.... I still have pictures of me riding a horse at the "ranch". (Trigger was gone by then....)Still some GREAT memories though!!

I loved every minute, every picture, and song. Roy and Dale were good christians and lived good lives. I was sorry to hear that all of the precious things in the museum were being auctioned off. I can't believe that this has to be done. Doesn't someone want to keep the museum and leave it open? God Bless everyone that kept the museum open this long. Lee Rook

I also found your link through the museum. My only visit was in 2005 and it doesn't look good for getting back this year. I retired late last year and have found much more time to watch Roy's movies (have all but 2 right now) and reading their books. Obviously I grew up with Roy & Dale and like everyone else I am sad to see the musueum close but praise the family for what they have done and are doing. They are always in my prayers. Thanks for this connection to them and to other fans. Good luck with the future ensdeavers with it. May God richly bless you for it. Jerry Betley

I just found this site through the links from the RR website. We FINALLY were able to visit the museum - wanted to all my life - finally went Oct. 9, 2009. I wept all through the show and as I walked around the museum knowing it would be closing in December. Dusty has done such a great job with everything. My heart is heavy for them as they make hard decisions right now. Thank you for your site honoring Roy and Dale. God bless you!!!

I grew up being in love with Roy Rogers and decided that I would marry him so I could ride Trigger. Oh well, an impossible dream, but I was a kid! I have always wanted a Palomino because of Trigger, but when I got my first horse he was a gray App/QH, and I wouldn't have traded him for anything! I lost him in 2007, and when I bought another horse, I got my golden Palomino QH. He's not Trigger, but he's as close as I can get - and the funny thing is, if I'm standing in front of him and we're not doing anything, he'll push me in the back like Trigger did with Roy as if to say "hey, I'm getting bored here, let's do something!"

Your site is a wonderful tribute to wonderful people who gave so much to so many! I am among the many, and was so very privileged to have met them both. Looking forward to seeing them again. The museum is in financial trouble in these troubled times. The last month's Riders Club newsletter asked if people would pledge to give a monthly amount, no matter how small every dollar helps them keep the museum and thus Roy and Dale's values, etc. alive. I have signed up to do so, I am hoping many others will do so also.

I have thought about this a lot. There has only been one celebrity that I can think of that held (and holds) the love of millions, in a way that one loves a parent. Think of it, who else has that distinction? Other celebrities are idolized, but in time they fade. Even most of those of the 50's and 60's are now dimly lit, and if remembered at all, then by just a few. But those of us who grew up with Roy and Dale hold a love for them that hasn't diminished. They were and are "family". What a phenomena. What a unique place in history they claimed. How wonderful for those who remember them! Thanks so much for this website. I am in partnership in a web business and KNOW the effort you put forth! Finally, a thanks to the children and grandchildren of Roy and Dale who are willing to continue sharing the memories and putting forth the values that affirm civility and humanity.

Roy was my hero since I was a boy. I listened to him on the radio, watched all his movies, and still have a scrap book of him which I treasure very much. In 1971 my mother and I stopped by the museum in Victorville heading to the East Coast I was amazed at the museum seeing Trigger but dissapointed that Roy had already left. When he opened his Roy Rogers resturant in Virginia Beach Va. I was in the Navy and out to sea. That would have been the most thrilling thing in my life if I could have seen him, and Had him sign my autography book. It was a sad day when he passed away. Happy Trails to Roy and Dale from a long time fan. Thanks for this page and the memories

This is for our cousin Stan Mounts who graduated on to heaven on Monday, July 25. He was a great man, he fought a long battle with cancer but through it all he kept the faith and was a strong inspiration to many of people, more then anyone will ever know. He cared for everyone from the very smallest to the oldest, making sure that they learned about Jesus, as a teacher nad superintendant of Sunday School. Stan you will be missed by all of us, but we know that you are in heaven with your Mom and Grandma Phillips and my Dad, and all those that have gone on. We feel safer now because there is one more angel looking over us. Stan ~ Happy Trails to you unil we one day meet you again. Thank you for all the great memories. WE love you! I have been a fan since I can remember. I am the same age as Linda Lou, so- you know how old that is. I had the pleasure of meeting both Roy and Dale several times, and spending about 1hr talking with Roy when he had the bowling alley in AV- I was staying at the resort. He was so pleasant, and down to earth. Dale, sent me a hand signed note when my husband and I got engaged (I had sent them a notice)- I have that in my albums. I miss both very much- and the wonderful work they both did.

It is always a pleasure to "visit" a website or place in USA associated with RR/DE; most of all, it is without doubt one of the greatest joys in life to meet other fans of RR/DE, either in person or thru e-mail or regular mail......these people become FRIENDS...like Family...for life. We bond for many reasons but, it all started due to our love and respect for Roy Rogers and Dale Evans. My Thanks to ALL that have made it possible for the fans to have MB's to meet and exchange ideas/thoughts/learn more and when available, give correct info we have about RR/DE. I have been a RR and DE fan about 55yrs. How lucky we were to have them in our lives as children. I had the great honor of meeting them both more than once in person. When I became engaged in 1969 I sent an announcement- and I have a hand written note of Congrats from Dale. I also put a brick in the new SUNSET Chapel in Memory of my Mom who loved them- and I was fortunate to get one of the last signatures from Dale, on the certificate of the Chapel, signed in Jan, just weeks before her passing. Thank you Both Roy and Dale for making our world better, CINDY

I really enjoyed the pictures that were available through this web site. I was there for the grand opening and thought I had been taking pictures. When I returned home I found a taken up roll of film in the camera left there by my daughter. I wish I had a copy of the drawing of Roy on Trigger in the rearing position with a boy in the foreground and the boy saying he didn't want to be left behind to which Roy had replied that he left a well marked trail. And when I looked I saw the trail of crosses. Wonder where a person could get a copy of that drawing?

Another avid fan here and proud to be a fellow Buckeye with Roy! Have been to the museum in VV three times and did get to go to Portsmouth twice for the festival. Look forward to visiting Branson, hopefully this summer or fall.

Dear "Painted Pony"...Now what exactly is your real name again? Hi! This is Julie, of "The Rogers Legacy." I accidentally emailed you one other time when I thought I was talking to my cousin Shawna and I got you real confused. :-) Anyway, I was pulling up some of your photos from Opening Day (which are really great, by the way) and wanted to ask you if it would be possible for you to send me copies of two photos in particular. I didn't get photos of the ribbon cutting ceremony because I was busy doing it. If you email me I can tell you exactly which two that I would like to get four copies each, if I could. I will gladly send you the money first. Thank you for keeping the love of Grandma and Grandpa alive. They were the best!

Have enjoyed your site very much. I was there, too, at the grand opening but the camera I thought I had film in didn't. I really enjoyed the pictures. Do you remember the drawing about a very young cowboy asking that Roy not leave him to which Roy on Trigger rearing said that he had marked the trail very well. And there was a trail of crosses. Is this drawing or picture available anywhere? Thank you for your love in Christ and for the Rogers' family.

Hi Painted Pony, Enjoyed your site, and enjoy reading everything on the RDM/B. Don't participate as much as a lot of you do. But few times I have, have been pleased with the response I get. I'm so glad to discover there are so many great sounding Christian fans of Roy and Dale and all they stood for in a better time in our country. Thanks for taking the time to do this site. And God Bless you with many happy trails. Linda Lou, an Ole' Fla. Cowgirl

They were always my favorite cowboy and cowgirl stars. When I found out they both had accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour, I liked them even more. I'm sure they are sorely missed by their families. They will all be together in heaven someday. I just happened on this site and I really like it. Please keep it going strong. Darlene

Roy Rogers has been a hero to me since I was a small child growing up in the late 1940's and 1950's. I heard that the Museum was to be moved to Las Vegas or Missouri? I hope that this isn't the situation. As long as Americans need heros, the memory of Roy Rogers and Dale Evans will endure.
